I maybe a little slow, but I just realized this forum was started several months ago. I have been painting occasionally with casein for a couple of years and am glad to see others doing so. I first heard about it when Linda Blondheim was doing some plein air paintings in casein. Mostly I have used watercolor and wanted an alternative but no solvents.
I have probably done about 50 paintings, most of them fairly poor. but I keep trying. I have posted some of them on the Weekend Drawing Event. Some are on hardwood panels, the first two shown here on watercolor paper glued to cardboard, the others shown were just on watercolor paper.

Connie, these are lovely paintings! I really like the color of your tulips, the textures in your first landscape, and the contrast and dramatic sky in the second landscape. Thanks so much for sharing them here. I know the forum can be a little slow, but hopefully if enough of you will stick around and continue posting and sharing, it will attract more members to do the same. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks, Jamie, I appreciate your comments. I don't mind slow at this time since I am trying to do at least seven different projects at once.

Hi Connie

I'm new to WC and to casien (I'm mainly a watercolor painter). But I just wanted to encourage you in your work. I especially like the good change in values in the painting of the pond with the reflection; there is good effect there. I also really like the way you did the clouds behind the dark tree. Nice use of color and blending.
I am not too up to speed yet at posting my paintings, but I will try to add some of my own soon.
This is a slow area of WC compared to some of the other areas! Oh well, hopefully it will grow.
