I will probably change subjects tomorrow. I am just so proud of myself for sticking to this almost daily painting thing I could wiggle! I think I have taken what I liked about both of the previous paintings and applied them here. I am still very much winging composition.

I did not use nearly as much white today. I figured out what they meant by changing the value of the paint and use white as a last resort. It makes a huge difference. There is a bit of glare on this, so its hard to tell, but the colors are much more bold and the painting overall looks a lot less chalky. I even got brave and painted in a few of the little rhinestones this time. I am not ready to start counting brushstrokes, but I know I made more count today than I did last time:thumbsup:

Lovely work. Composition is nice. I'm most impressed by the reflections on th box, and the rhinestones are super! Foreshortening of the right shoe reads true. Good job!

This makes a nice set with the others. Be sure to show them together.

Wonderful! I've enjoyed viewing your exploration with the subject and I see your improvement with each - no wonder you are happy! Looking forward to see your next subject!

What fun! This looks like a "then and now" painting, with the baby shoe and then dress sandal. :) What size is this?

All of these are 6x6 panels. I recently purchased 30 of them so I could get going on the 100 paintings goal.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I lurk here nearly every day to learn from all of you and your paintings. I appreciate all the help in my own posts as well as others.

It would be so nice to create a painting a day. One of these days. Love the then and now of the shoew. Don't they grow up in a hurry?

My kids are such a huge source of inspiration. Thanks to them, I have toys and shoes and all kinds of wonderful paintables. I think this year is going to end up being a celebration of motherhood in paint. It will help me improve and its a subject matter that I never get tired of.

Absolutly wonderful. Very nice, I really like the stones, they almost glow with light.
