Hi, everyone. This is 18x24, oil on panel. I actually did this on location but, I've touched it up enough in the studio that it probably isn't "plein air" anymore, at least not in the truest sense. Thanks for your time.

A lovely (as always) view of the La Loma Bridge, Rich! The pooch and I were right there a few hours ago (in the freezing cold...) and you've done it proud, I must say!
Holy Smokes Rich this is teriffic! The design of the bridge is super and you have taken advantage of it by placing it in just the right spot in the comp. This is definitely a VISUAL GRABBER!!

Exciting painting. I love the soft edges you've put on that bridge railing. Nice composition.

Very nice, Rich. The light and shadow in the foreground is especially tasty.

Thanks, everyone. Diana, if memory serves me correctly, you were there the morning I painted this. Todd, thanks alot. You should know I value your opinion. I'll see you tonight at the gallery. Be well, all.

Yep. We need to schedule a solo show for March. Interested?

March was a good month for me last year so, sure, I'm interested.

I grew up in the Pasadena Area and the bridge is one of my favorite subjects. You did a very nice job! As far as touching up after words. I think most people do a little bit. Trying to do it and still keeping it fresh is the hard part.... There are those lucky few that never touch it again and to those I tip my hat. I've only been painting for about 4 years now. Maybe when I have more years under my belt I won't have to "fininsh" it at home.....

May you have many more, Rich!

Thanks, Diana. Can you guess how I plan to celebrate my birthday? Yes, it involves paint and brushes and my easel. :)

Why am I not surprised, Rich! Anyway, it's your birthday; celebrate any way you please!

Um...you're going to organize and alphabetize your supplies?
I know that Rich and our buddy Ken are going painting Saturday. They're going far, at an ungodly time of morning, just to be sure that I don't tag along. :wink2:

Todd, you should have come along. If the time was ungodly, the views definitely were not. If you've got some time this weekend, I'm planning to be out painting somewhere. We'll talk friday night at the gallery.

Well, the painting is sold! The only thing better than selling it has been getting to know the patron personally. Sincerely.

And the person who bought it loooooooooooooves it!
