I'm new to pastels so wouldn't dare comment on technique- looks great to me though!

I like your use of complentary colours in this piece- the violets in the sky really set off the yellow leaves to give a great vibrant effect. The addition of the tilted tree on the left also works well as a contrast to the straight verticals.

I really enjoy the straight vertical lines light and airy with the heavier lower horizontal lines following a ragged path through bumps and dips....nice contrast between the two.
