Well, I'm still having fun! This was done over another painting that I wasn't satisfied with. I can't say for sure if it's finished and I can't say it's good but I can say it's an improvement from the one I started with. And I do like it. I feel like I am learning something from this that I didn't know before but I can't explain it, it's a feeling.

I think your feeling is good--I like this one, too! Exciting color work. I like the progression from dark to light and your pearly clouds just glow. Are you open to crits or questions right now, or just basking in the happiness of this one? :D Looks like a good experiment to me...

Hi Deborah, sure I'm open to crits and questions. But I don't know if I can answer specific questions because I'm doing this from pure emotion and it more or less happens but fire away and maybe it will help me decide if I want to move more in this direction. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings because that is just part of it and we usually learn from it. This may be just a passing fancy and I've had a few of those but just trying to do something to satify this monumental urge to create something. Does that make sense?

Oh indeed you are making sense. I too like this, the changes in values, the quality of the cloudy sky like area is just beautiful. It could remain as this somewhat abstract piece or you could begin to shape dark hills rising against the bright clouds, or it could even be water and reflections. A wonderful thing the urge to create, especially when it's monumental.

Oh Nana go with the feeling. This is excellent. I like it very much. The light just seems to sparkle

Nana, another wonderful experiment! Your passion and urge to create certainly shows and it's making me envious! KEEP GOING with that monumental momentum! So far they are great and I want to see yet more. Frame them for sure!
