Are any of the "lake" pigments lightfast?

Real lakes no, but most lakes these days just retain the name while using modern pigments. Was there a specific colour you're curious about Dave or just in general?

Well, the question was just in general, but the only two I ever use are Madder Lake and Geranium Lake. How 'bout those two?

Depends who makes 'em! Those names are now usually generic descriptions rather than accurate pigment-related names unfortunately. Any pigments listed in small print on the labels?

Look for a number like PR83 or PV19, this is the Colour Index Name which is used worldwide, if it's not listed there's no way to know for sure from the label. Unfortunately, traditional names like Krapplack and Karmin are just as meaningless as their English equivalents :)

Which brand?
