goauche on canvas

Hi everyone. This may seem like a stupid question...but can goauche be used on canvas? Will it dry correctly? I don't want to ruin a painting finding out the hard way...lol. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated . Thanks,

I've used watercolors on canvas with collaged papers. I don't see why you couldn't use goauche on canvas. The only thing I'd suggest would be to use a spray finish over the completed work....unless you are going to frame it under glass somehow. I sprayed my painting with several layers of clear matte varnish and its impermeable to water...can be wiped off with a clean damp cloth...just like an acrylic.

And if you do paint on the canvas....and don't like it. Turn your shower on and rinse the paint off...let the canvas dry....and paint with acrylics or oils!
