Is this a clone painting from a photograph, or did you draught it out yourself and then use Painter to paint it?
Even as a clone, you did a very nice job. It's the subtle shadings on the apples that look almost "too perfect," that make me ask.

I drew this bowl of apples from a photo as a challenge.I then sketched on canvas in painter 8 with #2 pencil.. Then painted with air brush and used the blender soft stump brush. I do not use clones. or I do not use layers. I paint stritcly right on the canvas. I like painting realisticly. I have for years. In oils and acrylics.and been painting digitialy painting since 1989.

Lucy, you did a marvelous job on the apples and bowl, as well as the texture of the wood and drapes. I find a couple of things troubling, though. One is that the left rear edge of the wood board doesn't align with the right side - and the other is that the perspective of the board, in general, doesn't coincide with the perspective of the air conditioner. I wonder - would you consider eliminating the air conditioner all together? I think it would help your painting.

Got to agree with you.. I took my ruler and saw that the right side of board is not in line with the left.. simple to refix. and that isn't an air conditoner in the window its just the sill and the wood wall. , that can be fixed by elemintating the lines on the wall. Thanks..

This is very good - I like it a lot.
But I do agree with the suggestions Asher made; that would make an excellent image even better.

Simply amazing Painter work.
Talk about someone mastering their medium!
You have managed to incorporate all your experience in the "traditional" world, and truly bring your digital work to life!
Those apples look photorealistic, and everytime I click on this thread, my mouth gets that ever-so-slight pucker as it waters, imagining taking a bite out of one of them.
Very well done!

Nice job getting the board aligned and the perspective to jibe. At times, we all get too focused on the trees and forgetting to step back and look at the forest.
Look forward to seeing more of your Painter paintings.

Those are beautiful apples. The apples at the front seem to float though.
