Hello all,

I am having problems opening my pics in RAW file with PS CS2. They only open JPEG. How do I do it? When I open it, its asks me to open in RAW, I say yes and the it says Error. Something wrong? Is there a specific way?
Let me know.. Thank you in advance,,,

Might be best to phone Adobe's technical support?

What type of RAW file are you trying to open? Different manufacturers have different types. I'm not sure if CS2 supports all of them.

Have you tried the help button ?

are you doing this:
To open camera raw images in Photoshop
You can open one or more camera raw image files directly in Photoshop without opening the Camera Raw dialog box. Photoshop apples either the default camera raw image settings or your adjusted settings.
In Bridge, do one of the following:
Select one or more camera raw image files, hold down the Shift key, and choose File > Open.
Hold down the Shift key and double-click a camera raw image file.

Thank you Charlie and MissMouse.
I've tried many things. I guess I will call them better.

Hi Jackie

You need to go to your camera's maker's website (Nikon or Canon) and download the plugin for photoshop specific to your camera. Then install the plugin to photoshop.

After that you should have no problem opening the RAW files.

Hope that helps

As Rach says you have to download the most current RAW converter.

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

You will have to replace the current file with the more updated one. (make sure you keep a copy of the old one in case you need to back out)
