Hello all!
I've been recently researching how to make pastels. Some of the sites I looked at were really helpful (like Phyllis Franklin's). But I think it would be even better of someone would just make a short VIDEO on how to do it. It would make things so much clearer and easier to understand to see someone in ACTION. This is just a thought. :)

The only video I was able to find was Paula Selhurst's video: 'The Pleasure of Pastel'.

Has anyone watched this???

I also found a book someone wrote called: 'An Artist Guide to Making Pastels and Marble Dust Paper' by D. D. Barton.

You can purchase the .pdf online. I would also like to know if anyone read this book.

Eagerly awaiting your thoughts!

I've got some links on my Pastels Squidoo Lens (http://www.squidoo.com/pastels/) about making pastels - you;re welcome to take a look if you think can be of any use to you. No videos though ...........;)

Airbugg, you'll just have to be the first to make a short video!

Just jump in... That is what I did. Phyllis tutorial helped get my guts up, but really it's like kindergarten playing with playdo... just get dirty and have fun but be sure to wear your mask..
