View Full Version : Sunset from FND

I decided to try something completely different for Wingnut's FND. I used gel pens on black Canson paper to reproduce the the reference picture.
The gel pens are alot brighter than the scan is and I noticed 24 hrs later than they were 3 times brighter than when I scanned the picture originally. I didn't know they got brighter as they "dried".

I did not know that either... i am going to have to experiment with them now :D
could come up with some interesting things that way ;)
I do like this and glad someone did something diffrent for FND :D

Excellent choice, using the gel pens on the black paper!! :D Nice choice of pic to use too. It sure suits the medium you used. Shows us just how creative you are :)

Nice job with the gel pens. I got a set of them for Christmas a few years ago, and they really are a lot of fun to work with. I haven't used them on black yet. Just for detail to my abstract watercolor pieces. Nice job.
