This bird belongs to a friend . His name is Boy. I decided to try a pointillism or dottist technique. The dots are not flattened ; but raised when applied so when it's dry you can feel little bumps all over.
It's on gessoed watercolor paper 81/2 x 11. I really enjoyed doing this. It's my first pointillism in acrylic. I went to a demo given by artist called Rogest and he uses this technique in his underwater life art. Check out his site. http://www.rogest.com/
Thanks for looking

This is a fun start, but I hope you'll explore further what pointillism can produce.

Hi dreamz Thanks!
I've done one in pen and ink also called 'The Poet Wisdom Man' with lines and dots. Here it is...

Tks WRoget, and dreamz.
Actually, I should correct myself and say that this was inspired by Australian Aboriginal Artwork. I am not to sure they had pointillism in mind.
