I'm about done with my work for the Charleston show, or time has about run out really.

This one is oil on primed paper 300lb arches water color paper, just in the mood for that I guess?!

Thanks Chewie. I don't have a horse, but I do cross country ski at night a lot and love it. A special time. A friend of mine is a 'horse' person, so who knows, maybe this winter I'll be able to experience that.

Marc,

Just brilliant as usual. I can only marvel at how well you capture mood, light and atmosphere. It gives us all something to aspire to.

By the way when is your show in Charleston? I would love to go see it.

Regards,

Randy

Marc, this is simply dreamy! It pulls up memories of Christmas time and walking in the night. Your handling of the night and the snow on the roof is masterful. You've really caught the abandonment of the place. That leaning fence post on the left says alot. So does the broken door. I've long been entranced with old barn-like structures, but been afraid to try them. 'Getting braver, now. :)

Excellent work!

Quite lovely. The mood captured is the one when you stop, listen, and take a deep breath, grateful that you are there.

What a remarkable painting. I get a sense of peaceful isolation. The snow and subtle reflected light is excellent. Great lines and color range on the structure.

Marc,
Just peeking in to catch up on what you have been doing - this is so beautiful - as all of your work seems to be. You are a master at capturing mood and tonal quality. So how do you prepare a paper so that you can use oils on it? Hope you have a great New Year!
