Hello -

I am very interested in this. I played a little bit last night just to test it. I would love to see others work with image transfer to clay.

I did not have much of any of the materials I was reading about so I used Crayons and a Stamp (from my wifes scrapbooking).


I colored a picture or stamped an image.
Pressed it into the flat white piece of clay and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Baked it for 15 minutes afterwhich pulled the paper off slowly.I like the results...time to play around a bit more.

I remember doing a polymer clay demo when I worked at a craft store involving rubber stamps and regular stamp ink pads.

hey beware those craft store demos the staff might be as new to the medium or process as you are. I know clay, dig out of the ground clay, not polymer clay but I was the most qualified to demo polymer clay because I once made polymer clay beads...I really mean once, only once.

Transferred great! :clap:

Here is one I posted here a while back. I used a photocopy and the clay was largely white with black embossing powder. I thought the process rather fun, and intend to do more...when I get the time ;)

I just started trying out image transfer.

This technique using image transfer paper (like for T shirts) and polymer clay.

I need to play around a lot more with it (I am new to clay and am trying to find some new things to make from my paintings).
