I spent a number of years doing nothing but ink designs and mandalas. This is an example of some of that work.

GREAT design work Sass!! How do you keep the drawing evenly balanced from one side to the other?? If you folded this in half both sides would almost be identical. I LIKE IT!!! :D

Looks like cut glass with a design etched on it.
Just off to the dictionary to look up 'mandala' :)

artdude I use a grid to get the balance you are talking about. I make this grid by marking with a non photo blue pencil that is easily erased after the piece is completed. I have done some of these in color also.
RuthT I have thought about doing glass etching and stained glass, but since I am such a klutz I would probably end up cutting myself to ribbons in no time....lol
NorahT Many of these designs I did when I was laid up after an accident. They were healing pieces for me. I did many mandalas also.

Please tell me more abut your grid.
Was it square or rectangular?
