This is a yellow bellied sapsucker and a red breasted nuthatch done on Pro Art Sketch 9 x 12 with Staedtler pens.

These are great, animal. The only suggestion I have is to always use some sort of grounding for these wonderful birds even if it is like in the first one. The second looks unfinished with just the bird in the pic. That first one is very nicely done with just a hint of the tree in the pic.

Hi Animal , I'm expanding my collection too... I didn't even realise till I found WC, that you could use tech pens, thought I would have to get a nib pen & ink, What a relief, seems really funny to me now :D
I love your wee birds, talk about cute! I think all you need to do in the second pic, is create some darker line/domension between the bird and the support (tree?), then he'll stand out from this.:clap: :clap:

Gee animal, what pretty birds. So these are the dot-dot-dot birds :D

Well i might hate DOING stipple, but the effect is always good :D
