You can see the grief in his face and his body language. I feel very much for him. Is it you?

Wow, is there a story behind it, am I allowed to ask?

This is very sad and I am sure whatever story is behind it, painting it, helped the grief. Chammi

Karli was my only daughter born still on July 6, 2004. Painting this helps me to keep her memory real. If you want to read about our story, you can read it here (http://photos-etc.blogspot.com/2006/01/our-story.html).
Thanks for the comments.

Also it is my first self-portrait.
Thank you for sharing your story of Karli. How absolutely devastating for you all. My heart goes out to you so much. I too have experienced the loss of a baby, our second son died at 1 day old. You never get over it, but the pain does ease.
May God ease your heartache and bring you peace.

Randy, so sorry for your loss. The portrait is very poignant as is your story. It makes us realize how fragile life really is.
