I am new to the Portraiture forum and have been lurking now and then- admiring the beautiful artwork here! I have been doing all my painting for the last year and a half digitally, and wanted to take this opportunity to jump in (nervously :o ) and join your little corner of WC.
Although I have mostly painted landscapes and florals both digitally and traditionally, I am relatively new to portraiture... and am looking forward to learning so much from all you!
My painting is my grandaughter, Olivia Gabrielle, and was painted in PSP8.
C/C's are welcome.

The portrait is very pleasing. I like her skin tones. Although done digitally, it doesn't look like a photograph and I like that very much. Good job.
Welcom to Portraiture.

What a beautiful little girl! Love the hair. All my grandchildren are blonde. Digital portraits look interesting to do. Great job.:D

Hi, BrendaSUe and welcome!
I am most impressed - I would not have guessed that this lovely and sensitive portrait was done digitally (perhaps a reflection of my ignorance of that medium!). I would have guessed pastel or watercolor - since it had that soft luminosity achievable through those media. You are very accomplished!

Thanks so very much, Marilyn and Janine!
I don't know if this link will work or not, but it is suppose to be to my little gallery here at wc. I love painting digitally and the gallery has a few more paintings done is PSP8.

Here is a wip of Olivia after the sketch was made and the color starting to be blocked in- it's much like painting vitual- only I don't have to get paint all over me before I start!
