Hey everyone,

it's me again:wave: I have eventually plucked up courage to start painting again and this is what I have got to show for it. It is on stretched canvas and about 1.1metres x 50cm's. Any c&c's welcome mates:D The mountain in the back looks bit flat on top-I will just imagine it's Table Mountain:evil:

Stephan, glad to see one of your striking landscapes again. This is great! You have such a distintive style and it works beautifully!

your mountain looks like a body of water to me, either way its a striking piece

This is really cool!! Love it!!

Thanks Annette, Dreamz and Tracy. Dreamz, It was intended as a mountain, but now that you mention it..........

This has a wonderful look with excellent color throughout! Speaking of Table Mountain, I did one of my first watercolor paintings of Table Mountain when I was in Capetown and Durban! Wonderful country!!

the eye of the observer and all that... if it was jagged it would "read" more as a mountain line but those who are used to a view like that would recognize it for what its meant to be. Perhaps a paler/softer blue would push it back and help it read as a distant mountain but that cuts into your bold palatte.
I wouldn't change it though, let the viewer decide

Thanks Carrie and Bertoni. I love Cape Town, definitely a place where I would consider settling down:). Dreamz, next one I will try jagged edges again for the mountain, not ready to paint water or anything aquaish yet:D

I love this. You are really getting into your own style. I agree with Dreamz, let the viewer have their take on it. I love the tree too.

Another wonderful painting. I didn't think the blue in the background looked like a mountain but then it doesn't look out of place either. I would not touch anything on this.

P.S. Didn't know you weren't motivated to paint. But now that you mentioned it...yes, I have missed these.

Thanks Tammy, tbolt, Carol, Chloe, Audrey, Ginger and SuzySue. Thanks for mentioning the blue tree, first time I tried one. Lady Carol, thanks for missing my paintings:D I wanted to wait till I was able to get myself out of landscape mood but hey, there I went again with another one. Inspiration seems to be failing me when I want to try and paint something else. Ag well, I think I'll be off to paint something modern now, like a landscape with pink trees:lol:

When you mentioned to me that you liked bold colors, I knew I'd like your work. This is inspiring. Personally, I couldn't agree more with your choice of color for the tree.

Thirsty tree;)

Thanks Maureen and TBond. I am really glad you like it and I think I will stay with my style. I am really glad I got one of those 'cause for a while it felt like I was not gonna get into something that I felt comfortable with. Thanks again.

This is a unique style, really beautiful:thumbsup: Is it for sale? :D
It's a cross between Matisse, van Gogh, and Gauguin,
a little of each (in my humble opinion). Love the colors,
especially the blue.
