This is Annie and mine's newest project for the Ren Fair or craft show and I thought to share it with y'all. I is done on a 11"x 9" round basswood. We are trying real hard to build up our stock for the Bristle Ren Fair next year. We are hoping that we do well at the Ren Fair. So here they are the Dragon Ladies.

Richard yes it has taken a long time to color the dragon but not because that it is hard it is that Annie has to work she is also going to school to get her masters and doing our celtic art projects. So yes Annie has a full plate.

The Ladies are progressing slowly but I think this is going to be one of our better pieces.

Here is another update folks and Annie and I are learning something while we have been doing this one. If you want to gold leaf something do it before you start coloring it especially if you are using color pencils. Because when you rub the gold leaf on you smugg the color pencil and it is hard to correct. So if any of you are thinking of using gold leaf did your gold leafing first.
I took some of y'alls suggestions and gold leafed the horns and claws so that is what this up date is about and the lesson we learned.

Brian and Annie,
The Dragon Lady is coming out awesome. I love the colors (purple and blue). The gold leaf is cool (though it sounds like a pain to do). - Chris

Chris thanks for the kind words and yes gold leafing is a lot of work but the results are great. Annie and I really like this website because it has helped us so much.
Thank you all
