Jannek, the size of the canvas, that's mm? cm? not inches, right? The addition of a cigar will certainly give his character a little extra something. It looks like you've managed that wine glass in a few quick strokes...having seen a couple of your other paintings planned for this series, that glass probably won't be touched up too much (I hope!). Your idea of the 'Pub' series and exhibit is very appealing. It's time to see the light-hearted side of humanity..and painted so well..this is bound for success! I'll go look at your posts to find the other paintings, but how about putting them in your virtual gallery so we can watch as the series develops?

Hi nikkico I answered the size question on choc suprise thread, hope that helps but yeah its mm sorry for the confusion ... I love painting glass especially with liquid in it, I love its reflective qualities and colors it produces... you are right again the glass is pretty much finished. Painting glass is quite a slow process actually a lot of colors and brushstrokes go into it, I actually spend Quite a bit of time getting the colors just right before i put them down and think about where every stroke goes... so a lot of time and planning goes into making it look like a few quick strokes.
Sorry for sounding stupid but what is a virtual gallery?

Jannek, the virtual gallery is an option for everyone here and many people haven't posted any work in it. Click on 'Tools' up there ^^^ on the top blue bar, and on 'Gallery Manager'. You can organize your work there and show collections, with space for your bio etc... like a website. It's a little tricky at first..I can help you with it if you PM me with any questions. It's free and is listed also on art-agent.com, a connecting website with a lot of other options available. Then when we click on your avatar, and on 'view this member's virtual gallery' we can view your work.
Oh, I thought 1200 inches W would be rather large for this portrait!
I'm Canadian where metric is used, and living in the U.S. so I use both, switching back and forth often..so "no worries mate". :) Measurements aren't so confusing, but switching from MPH to kmph when driving could get you a speeding ticket if you're not careful..and when attempting to convert Celsius or Farenheit, saying "it's hot" or "it's cold" is much easier! ;)

Thanks Nikkico for bringing me into the next century, and your help may be required, I'm 'so computer illiterate that it took me 10 mins to work out what PM ment? I will definately set up a gallery it sounds great but some of my photos are not very clear, I am getting an art photographer to take qualitity photos in a month, so when I get them I will post.
Thanks heaps... I know how you feel about that metric/imperial thing it all changed over here when i was young and had just learnt one then had to try to learn the other! For Farenheit the closest easiest way to change that over is take 30 deg off and thats damn close to celsius temp... but i love the hot cold idea.
