Here's a new painting .... a Dachshund. My Mom has two of these dogs. The female is playful and the male isn't but seems introspective ... he looks like he thinks while the other one looks kindof "blank" ... I have it on ebay right now

I loooooove this painting, I have a little sausage dog (we don't call them wiener's here) myself and currently I'm making a 3D model of one for sculpture class at uni. Fantastic drawing with lots of typical sausage dog expression! Here's a pic of my little dog just for you;

Heehee. Cute! If you guys like weiner dogs you have to look at David Hockney's "Dog Days" book! He did tons and tons of paintings of his two dachshunds. :)

thanks .... it is a fun kindof painting. I only did one other weiner dog painting and that was a painting with my mom's two dogs.
Amanda, that one looks like a nice little dog ...they are kindof cute and I can see why people are fond of them. One of my favorite things is watching them eat and I always get a kick out of putting their bowls down and watching the action! :D . I did this drawing about this http://www.dkingdesign.com/auctions/mar21_2002/dk_2002mar21a.jpg
One of my favorite paintings is by Giacomo Balla called "Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash" at http://www.artofcolour.com/painting-profile/profiles-no9-files/balla-dog.jpg
Just curious Amanda, will this sculpture be natural or more of an exaggeration of dimensions.
Here's a joke for Dachshund lovers :D

The little sculpture I'm doing will be more natural dimensions, almost a copy of her. I might do more exagerated ones later though (probably drawings not sculptures). If I remember, I will post a pic of it here when It's done. Glad you like my little sausage dog, she's a cutie.
