Haven't done much painting lately but this is from this week's WDE - the farm near where Constable painted at East Berhot, Suffolk.
Acrylic inks over an ink drawing (no pencil!!!), approx 8 x 12 ", and under 2 hours.
Thanks for looking :D

Very nice Maureen, I think I saw the drawing over in WDE forum, but didn't comment. Love the sky and bushes and all of it.:clap: .

Very nice - I love the water colour effect. I have been fascinated with the acrylic inks. I can see myself making a trip to the art store.

Maureen,
I didn't get a chance to see this in the WDE forum, but I've got to say;
"This is FANTASTIC".
I love the contrast between the pen lines and the soft acrylic washes.
Very nice!

Very nice work Maureen and under 2 hours - :clap: I bet you have a lot of plein air work like this, don't you?

I did a watercolor and ink painting a few years ago of a famous landmark in Memphis ( now gone ) called Carter's Seed Store. I'm still getting compliments on it - here's a linlk;

I really like this kind of work for watercolors, but I didn't know you could combine ink and acrylic without loosing your ink lines. Ya learn something new everyday, huh?
