Hi and welcome to week 35 of our art journey!

Hope you will join us as we explore traditional, classical style art with each other.

You are welcome in any medium to join in with a study.
If you are working on something we'd love to see it.

There is something understated but very beautiful in her hands.

Lady with a Rose

Antoon van DYck......his place in history was made with his ability to
impart consummate courtliness

it endow his sitters with all things
that all men envy:

health and stature,
wealth
and high breeding.

He was brilliant in imitation of Ruben.
He studied Titan.

Gradually he differed from Rubens with
his own luminosity of color and elegant brushwork.

Hey Susan, love the apples!!!!!!!
You are really getting a good realistic effect!
Looks good enought to eat :)

You are doing great and I am so proud of you!!!!

The rain lasted here about 24 hours or so...crazy wet but not as bad as at the coast.
Temp went from mid 90's to mid 60's. Now in the mid 80's.

Here is a pastel from my old sketch book. You know I am running around like crazy trying to get all my beans lined-up. In about two weeks I should be back like normal. If you can call me normal ;)
