Hello everyone. I have decided to buy a Nikon SLR D70S. Now I have a Nikon 8008 35mm and a point and shoot Nikon coolpix digital. I have not bought camera supplies online, but I have bought GPS units from big online retailers. I have been shopping through shopping search engines and I have seen some super low prices. Like I said I have bought gps so I know that there are a lot of scams and refurbished, gray market cameras out there. I just wanted to know some good reputable online camera retailers. Of course I would like the ceapest price, but I am willing to pay a little extra for a reputable company. Thanks for your help.

Do check out the for sale boards at 2 popular (and reputable forums). Most sellers will have feedback threads in the forums. You may have to join and lurk for a waiting period before being able to buy or sell or have access to the for sale threads.

Naicidrac, I've moved your thread over to the main photography page as this is where we post equipment questions :)
Welcome to the forums and I hope you enjoy them. I can't help with online retailers but I do know you'll be delighted with that Nikon :D

if you wait a while, get the D80 or once that is released, the D70s will drop in price

You can also check out Amazon.com, but much of their camera stuff is sold through third parties.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have decided to go with a reputable place like B&H. It is not worth it to save a couple hundered bucks and stress out over what I am getting. Also if I have problems I want to be able to contact the retailer instead of getting the run around. I have also decided to wait for the release of the D80. I have also decided to get the D80. It has a lower ISO now and that is what I want. Thanks again for all the help.

Good idea on the D80, I've been reading the reviews on Nikonians this morning - thinking to upgrade. The only thing that bothers me is it uses SD instead of CF memory cards; who can tell me what SD cards are?

. . . who can tell me what SD cards are?
Same thing as CF cards, only smaller. I'm not sure why Nikon went to SD on this. From everything I have read, there doesn't seem to be much point to change, except perhaps the size factor. The SD may also require slightly less volts to operate, but theoretically, the CF cards are faster. Dpreview says that Nikon is sticking with CF cards for their professional lines. I don't know, maybe someone else has more skinny on this.

PITA - another investment to make.
