September 16-17, 2006, My Beloved Polymer Sheets and Casebound Polymer Journal 2-day workshop with instructor Geraldine Newfry
Day 1: My Beloved Polymer Sheets -- Create a book structure entirely out of polymer clay and your mixed media ephemera. In this class the suggested theme is "my beloved": a partner, a parent, a child, a favorite pet. Bring your own theme instead if you'd like. We'll incorporate metal, paints, paper, stamping, transfers and anything you bring to the table! We won't skimp on the bookbinding. The pages will be bound together using a single sheet variation of the ancient Coptic Stitch. 6 Hour workshop NOTE: There will be a small fee for additional supplies provided by instructor.
Day 2: Casebound Polymer Journal -- Create a harbor for your treasured thoughts with polymer clay covers and beautiful archival papers. Explore the ancient art of bookbinding with the construction of this limited edition, case bound journal. Students will delve into polymer clay manipulation and design. You'll leave with a completed journal, ready to fill with your art. 6-Hour Workshop NOTE: There will be a small fee for additional supplies provided by instructor.
Class cost is $190 for both days, $110 for one day.
