Hi everyone,
Most usually you will find me hanging around in the oil painting and photography forums. I'm curious about just how much info is available on this, the COmputer Tech forum, for people who need to know more about using their graphic editing software. I'm looking specifically about info on HOW to use a scanner, and HOW to do specific editing, such as image resizing, or adjusting colors.
Is this the forum to ask those questions in?
thanks for the help

I was wondering the same thing myself.
Are you looking for the basics or something more in depth?

Dana,
Actually, I was looking to find out how many people over here even knew anything about graphic editing. I'm trying to start a new forum from the Photography forum and am being told that THIS is the place to go. I don't THINK so! And Digital Art is DEFINITELY not the place for teaching and learning about graphic editing software.
If you're interested...you can go to the Photography forum and PLEASE vote in the new forum poll.
Next time you come here...this thread will probably be moved as it was from another forum. :D I think I'm being "blackballed" :D
Not really...it's just been a bad day. ;)

I don't know the rules/guidelines for this forum, but I think Computers/Technology is the perfect place to discuss this and there are many people who can help. Did you have specific questions?

Bruce,
Thanks for peeking into this thread and for posting a comment. For some reason, I didn't think the comp/tech forum would be the right place to send people with basic graphic editing questions.
For myself, I know how to handle graphics. I'm fairly experienced with the software I own...I was asking my question mainly to see what kind of response I could get from a "tech" group.
Do you know if there are any articles available here that we could reference from the Photography forum. I hate to send people to a forum where their questions are going to be overlooked, ignored or slide too quickly from the top of the list because of new postings.
Once again, thanks SO much for the post.
