Hi! I can't stay away from the seashore theme! I did this Great Blue Heron (photo from the RIL) and I was thinking it would be good even larger..it is 12x18. He's such a regal looking bird and I think it deserves a bigger piece of paper. The shells are a quickie I did for my shell series...it is 6x6. Any input is much appreciated. I learn so much from this forum!

The shell is a cool little one also...

The heron has a wonderful glow of light & I like your loose background! You may want to consider the heron's bill...it looks a little short to me.
Love the shells!

No critique from me- I'm a member of the KEM Studios fan club! I really like the shell series you're working on.

Beautiful!! I love the softness and the palette in both. Awesome backgrounds. I'd like to see a bit more dimension to the heron--he looks slightly flat. It's a challenge, as he looks nearly backlit, with that bright rim lighting...but maybe darker darks on the closest parts of neck and body would do it.
Love your abstracted vision of the shells!

These are lovely. The softness is great and the colors are yummy.

Beautiful painting. I also did a heron out of the RIL my frame was like
30 x 60. I used the largest mat. He just felt so regal. Of course no one
wants to buy a painting that big. Yours is perfect. Really like your sea shells. nice composition.
