View Full Version : My first collective exhibition
08-12-2006, 11:49 AM
Yesterday took place the opening of a collective exhibition.
It's patent (is this the correct word ?) at the city hall and it's part of the celebrations of the village of Alcochete (don't laugh:evil: ), near Lisbon.
The paint I have there is the «What a big cloud you have».
It's untill the end of the month.

Congratulations, Jose! Isn't it exciting to see your work hanging in a public place?

Thank you all for your kind comments.
The next one will be in October.
On the form of the next one they ask if among other contacts, I want my adress to show on the catalogue.
I will have the phone and email. Do you think I should also put the adress ?
I think that it would sound more serious and confident for the potential buyer.
Besides I don't have nothing to hide.
Kindest regards and have a nice week,

I'm so happy for you Jose! Put the address on there. You never know. Being a single female living alone I would be a bit scared to do that. Maybe a P.O. Box if you aren't comfortable giving your address to complete strangers.

Jose, CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm not quite sure what to tell you about your address appearing in the cataloug, my first thought is "why not"? Maybe those that have already been in other exhibitions will hopefully give you there thoughts. Best wishes for your continued success!

Congratulations Jose. That is a great honor as Pam said.
It makes it worth all the hours put in becoming an artist.

Congratulations!!! You should post pictures of the show.
About your address in the catalog. I would do whatever most other people are doing.
I have my address on my business card, because many times show organizers pick up business cards to send their info. I think over here, it's important to let people know what city/state you're from, even if you don't want to put a full address.

Thank you all for the nice complements.
I don't have pics of the show because I didn't take a camera.
I just went to the opening.
It's about 20 miles from Lisbon and since I don't have a car it's quite difficult to go there again.
But I did brought a brochure and a panflet with my name on it :-)
Have a nice weekend,
