This is a drawing of poet, Langston Hughes, done while at the barber shop waiting for my turn in the chair. The reference came from a photo in a magazine in the waiting area. Approx 30-40 mins, pen & ink (Microns).

[edit] Just adding another 30-40 quickie/experiment. .5mm color pens, the kind used for memory books (Zig ball pens).

Very well drawn. It's impressive what you did in the barber shop while waiting. Please post more drawings.

Very good likeness of Hughes. Did you get funny looks? lol I always do when I am sketching away while waiting for this that or the other when I am in public.

Thanks, all!

sassybird: I get more curious looks than strange ones. :) (On second thought, I do get strange looks when I'm working with charcoal or graphite and I'm doing a lot of smudging and blending!)
