I know it's not August yet but it will be in a couple days  .
I'm really proud of this bracelet and I don't want it to get buried at the tail end of July's finished work.

Dang it... I wanted to start the August one! I finished this necklace yesterday and was saving it to start tomorrow. I didn't want to get lost at the end of July either Vicki. LOL! :)
http://www.kabsconcepts.com/images/revolving.jpg

This is "Revolving"... I had the idea for the beads in the shower last week, lol. They remind me of people lined up single file walking down spiral staircases.

Great start to the month Vicki & Ellen!

Whooeeee....what an incredible, awesome, beautiful summer we are having on the Oregon Coast. Have been busy working with glass as my focus but combining many mixed medias with the glass to create stunning works of art. Here I have combined my lampwork art beads with precious metal clay charms, vintage beads, fun wire, a wildwmoman collage design http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Aug-2006/23816-IMG_0004e.jpg and here is combed fused glass base using liquid stringer technique, topped with a resin face made with epoxy, colored with incredible paints, precious metal clay charms, glass dragonfly button, vintage brass beads, polymer clay spacers....a true mixed media design.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Aug-2006/23816-IMG_0007e.jpg Business has been great in the gallery, we are now doing pmc classes and hope to build the new studio in the fall....just waiting on our house to sell.....anyone want to buy an incredible house on the oregon coast, overlooking siletz bay and the ocean? Wow! Great stuff, everyone!

Kerry, what a stunning necklace! Is it designed to hang so the clasp is at the back of the neck, and the double strand of beads hangs down one side, with the wirework on the bottom and going up the other side?

I designed it so the clasp is to the side with the wire work in the front, the double strand of seed beads sits in the back.

Thanks for the compliments Jo!

wildwire, are your silver peices sheet sterling or PMC? either way they are stunning! I especially love the clamshell and rectangles.

The trio of pendants are cuttlefish castings and the pendant with matching earrings are sheet, so is the leaf....PMC is next to try out!

Cuttlefish makes those rings naturally as you cut thru the layers...so basically the clamshell is just a circle going from small to larger thru the layers...after its cast its kind of frosty white so I just polished it up and used the frostyness for contrast....

thank you everyone for your comments!

Everyone's jewelry is so cool. Mine is pretty amateur still, but I'm pleased with these pieces.

The necklace started out as a bracelet, but the hammered silver dangles kept getting caught on each other, so I expanded it to a necklace. The beads are Anise White and Black, the links are sterling, and the little beads are commercial (I just liked the color). http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/07-Aug-2006/84383-8-6-06_necklace_3.JPG

And I'm posting the bracelet because this is the only time I've been able to get Opalino Pink to come out pink. Every other time I've used it, I get a pinkish white. The other beads are pink filigrana.
