It's not pretty, it was darn hard to do but what a learning experience. The perspective is off around the right jawline and the back bone of the head, but I'm just glad I finished it. Stayed up after my hot date with hubby to do it. Just couldn't go to sleep with it on my mind. Oh it is 2B pencil, a stump and kneading eraser on sketch paper size 8 x 12.

This is great, Orchid! I love the dramatic light/dark and the detail in the teeth. Wonderful job!

Wow! This is a really strong image, Orchid! I hate to think of using a 2B pencil to cover all that area. Must have taken you ages, and I think that that is what comes through and gives it the power, all that concentrated energy! Well done.

Beautiful shading everywhere Orchidlover, and nice details on all those 'nasty' teeth! I think you did a great job! Sounds like we do things alike, sometimes I do my best stuff at 1AM!
Way to go!

Delicate-looking bone against a vigorously shaded background. How nice.

thx wingnut, AriadneArts, tuatara, artdudette, zotma and blacktigr - I guess there' no way to make something like this look purty. I took almost the whole two hours. When I was working on my husband came by and said "What in the world is that?!?" I don't think he was impressed with it. oh well. Thanks for the comments. I sure learned alot.

thx cathd, geoff, and busy91.
Hey geoff, I like that expression 'spot on'. I have friends from the UK and I use to hear it all the time. They use to say that phrase alot. Thanks for reminding me of them.

Good work Orchidlover.
I like the white on black effect, and the teeth are great.

Nice shadow and light piece. BTW, your husband probably wasn't unimpressed with your work. He was probably suprised at being upstaged by an old wolf's skull!!:D
