great job. I'm envious to see so much sculpture come out of tonight's drawing.

This is beautiful Yielding. Love the veins on the leaves.

What kind of clay do you use?

Is this on an armature (hope I've got the spelling right) ?

Thanks Ruth and strawberry

I used moist pottery clay and a hot glue stick for the armature for the trunk..

Great work with the clay, Yielding. You're a pro!

You are good at clay work, yielding!! I really like what you've done here!

I'm impressed! I can barely scratch a drawing out in 2 hours and here's the 3rd sculpture I've looked at. This is really nice. What is its size?

Thanks auntie_chaos and Surfinia

What a neat thing Yielding. A clay rose seems like a contradicition in terms until I had a look at yours. I like its strong enclosing form, it suggests movement in the way the petals might be either opening or closing. I think opening. Really well done!

Yielding, you did a great job here! and pretty quick thinking on the armature as well. Thanks for the link. off to find sculpture #3, I've seen yours and Bendaini's so far.

Wow! Another sculpture!! Thanks..I was hoping I would get some sculptures out of this! You really did apply alot of detail to it as well and the curvature of the leaves really added life! Wish I knew how to do that...it looks like a difficult thing to achieve and what you created is beautiful!!

I love these. Wonderful work. I haven't sculpted in ages. Makes me want to get all dirty again.

Wow, Yielding, I really like this a lot!

I've never thought of translating a drawing into something 3d, it strikes me as very difficult, but you make it seem easy, you must be a natural!

Nice detail on the shapes of the petals and leaves, and the veining too!

Way to think outside the box!
