***Just copied this because I had to have it translated

Otto Greiner (* 16 December 1869 in Leipzig; † 24 September 1916 in Munich) was a German painter and commercial artist.
Greiner studied 1888 and 1891 under Sándor Liezen Mayer at the academy of the forming arts in Munich between. 1891 it undertook its first Italy journey, on which it met max of Klinger and with it got used to themselves. Between 1892 and 1898 he lived in Munich and Leipzig. it pulled 1892 to Rome, where it used max of Klingers earlier studio. 1915 it left Italy.
Otto Greiner used the technology of the lithography as a first German artist not only for the duplication, but also for the own formative statement. Its naturalistischen representations, which are typical for its epoch, find today fewer interests. Among its most well-known pictures “Odysseus and the sirens”, “Prometheus” and its only cycle ranks “over the women”. Its work bases on careful graphic treatment, in the special during the figürlichen representation. The act was located in the center of its interest. Further it created Portraits and treated antique and fantastic topics. These topics form the main part of its 112 paintings.

Yoda is beautiful!!!!
Cool name too.
I had a grey cockateal up until October.
Now just two dogs. Both are miserably spoiled.
I can't wait to see your next toulouse! You really have a nice solid figure
with the laundress.
I think I am going to do another Cassett for this week.
Good luck this week with the storms.
It seems like mother nature is kicking up her heels again this year.

Hi ya folks!

Barbara, your woodland nymph is so delicate and sweet and very
much looks like he could cause some trouble. ;)

Excellant! Nice nice work! I like the expression on his face and the way
he touches his shoulders. Very much feeling in this piece!

I thought I'd show you what I played with this morning.

After a copy of Mary Cassatt's Bacchante

and what it really looks like

have to work on fixing her nose, and not sure if I got proportions
at all right on the backside since again, I'm just making a suggestion

will work on her again later to tighten her up a little

using my left over paint from the moonlight and making good use of
a study panel, not that you should do this if you want a piece to
save. not sure it is wise. but good for study! Nickel

06-15-2006, 12:54 PM
Hehe, painting over them......just wanted you all to see, that in real life sometimes the painting you see looks a little different, hehe, at least in my case, my walls are covered with my studies, don't know if that is a good thing or not.
Barbara, love your pruddy kittie cat!
And to answer your question, nope,
not all red, a mix of red blonde brown white & gray on the way :D

06-15-2006, 11:00 PM
Lovely kitties! I cant see them, they remind me that I need to paint one for daughter. Should try sometime. Should be great fun.

Barbara, this is lovely drawing. Soft feel to it.

Nickel that is a lovely pic of your easel and your studies. I think you did a great job on it. The colors of the clothe and how you painted it is very nice.

Miss Eilleen too. Is she ok? How about Keith?

Hope everyone else is doing great!

Awe Mony.. we are thinking of you

See ya soon girls gotta go birdwatching.

06-18-2006, 12:22 AM
Yep, it is me.
Funny, Titanium said I looked like his aunt.

But you all are my friends.

And just so we don't think this thread has gone to the cats
I surrender my little dog, looks more like a pott belly pig, 14 years old and
piled up in the dirty laundry waiting to be tossed on his ears
by me, rotten dog, so I can get to those sheets.
