View Full Version : Another scratchboard "Lady & Cat"

This is a 5"x7" scratchboard drawing. Had sketched the lady and added the cat. Also done in the late 1980s. I think the light source is off quite a bit. What did I know in those days! LOL Am just trying to energize myself between watercolor and acrylic paintings to do some current scratchboards!!!

This is lovely but what I like the most is the cat's expression, it is fantastic.

Glad you liked the way the cat was done!!!
Can't wait to start a new scratchboard! I wonder if these drawings can be framed?

Hey.... I don''t think you did a bad job with the light source. I think it works really well. You got a terrific range of tones in there and the comp is fabulous.
I agree with Mary.... the cat is just wonderful:clap:
So.... when are you getting your scratching tools out ... can't wait to see more.:D

Thanks Kris! I got all the tools out and my first one in years will be a miniature just to get reacquainted with scratch art again. Will post it.
Have to find a subject!!!:)

Just wandered over...great style and yes, they can be framed, easily. I actually set them into a piece of foam core, mat and frame or you can put them in a same size frame but I find that constraining. The ampersand boards, if sprayed are suppose to be able to be framed without glass.
