This is posted also in the "pastel" forum, since i seem to understand that given WC size posting in more than one forum is encouraged. Sorry if im wrong in this.
This park once belonging to Modiano's family, after a pretty long period of neglection has been recently opened to public. In the middle of the park stands a small pavillion whose roof is easily accessible. Perched on that roof (actually a very comfortable terrace) i painted this. It is soft pastels on forest green Canson pastel paper and it measures about 24*32 cm. Took about 2 hours "en plein air" plus one more hour in studio.
The day before, in the same park (but not the same place) i did the b/w sketch you can find in the "5 tonal values in bw" art project... the sketch isn't very good, but it helped a lot :)
