Froma a photo in the ril by Tomconline. Thanks Tom. I see it has been used in the watercolor gallery about a year ago.

I started by using my normal sargent brush, but got really cross because it didn't work properly. It doesn't like layers. I finished using a variant brush I made, it's a bit pointillist. I also increased color variability to give a bit of texture. Not sure about the brush, tell me what you think.

Wonderful Barry! I Love it! I like it _better_ than the photo and that is something coming from me (a photographer :) ). I also thank you for providing the WIP stages. I am going to study this carefully and hopefully learn a ton!

You the man! :)

Awesome ! Stunning !

This kind of work might truly change my mind about digital painting as a real Fine Art .

English people seem to have real talent at depicting atmospheres and feelings with a gentle touch and a sense of tradition.

The photography is very interesting , but your work is even more appealing.
The light is warmer , and the man bent over is work with intense concentration seems happier

This is the kind of picture that makes me smile :)
So, thank you for sharing it, Barry.
