I have to say my hero is not art related. My hero is Aryton Senna. He was a genius behind the wheel of his F1 car and has become a true Legend within the world of motorsports.

Who are your heros and have you been compelled to create a piece of art dedicated to them?

Hi Ethan,

I've been really enjoying your racing drawings! (although I haven't had much time to post). This one (like the others) is really awesome.

And this thread is a great idea! I hope others will post drawings of their heros as well.

As for me.. my hero is MC Escher.. I've haven't dedicted a drawing to him, but I have dedicated my entire life to "following his path", continuing his methods and philosophies.

Hi,
Wow, this one is even better than the previous! and I second Dave, it is awesome.
You give me the push to try one...(without knowing ;) )

My hero... ??? neither a motorist (? word) , nor a painter... even if the impressionists are my fav. I'll look for a female hero ;)

Hi Dave & Yabby,

Thanks for your kind words, I must admit that I'm really really please with this drawing. I guess I put a bit more into it cos of the sudject.

Dave: I know where your coming from with Escher. He's a very inspiring artist. I am in the process of replicating (copying!!) Escher's 'Globe in Hand'. I have previously post a WIP here at WC. I'm pretty much there with it, just hit the wall with it at the moment! I'm stuck with the hand. I have replaced Escher with myself ( http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=341112) .

Anyway, thanks again guys, Ethan

Dali is my hero. His work inspired me to surrealism in my work.
