Picture time.....

Three are major members of the local arts community (I can't include myself in that group). A friend who is a retired museum curator, then the gallery owner, and the big guy is me, on the right is a Hungarian Videographer and photogrpher. Three out of the four are major arts folks in my area.

this is me with my baby sis. She is wearing a shirt that has my hand painted sphere logo. She made a most incredible fudge for the opening. Lasted all of 23 seconds on the table.

Rogene (on the left) is the gallery director.

Sold 2 paintings last night and was thrilled since this is a first for me at a gallery walk/opening.

Overall is was an incredible event with about 400 coming through the gallery and lots of good fun and laughs.

Other things happening, the art critic wants to come and review the show on Tuesday. A streaming video company wants to do an interview with the gallery and me for a new internet website about our local arts scene. Here we go. This is going to be a great ride.

I love your work Howard, do you always work on canvas or do you use other supports?

Congratulations on the sales! Of course, I'm not surprised...and I'm sure you'll sell many more before the exhibition ends.

I work very little on canvas these days. I am now working primarily on "Multimedia Art Board" which is a heavy watercolor paper that is impregnated with a resin. It tends to be brittle but it also tends to hold up to the manipulations I put it through. I can cut it, sand it, scrape it, put a knife to it, add all sorts of things and it holds up. In this show there are about 24 works and only 6 are on canvas. In reserve are another 7 and none of those are in canvas.

As far as sales, "from your lips to gods ears".

Thank you for your kind words.

The work looks gorgeous - and congratulations on the great attendance, too.

An interloper on this board, just dropping in to give kudos,
