Jean, nicely done! Love the glasses!

You've got two different painting styles between the subject and the background. It makes them feel seperate. Still, beautiful!:)

A lot of detail for only 2 hours work! Shows that you're becoming more confident. Keep it up!

Yes Jean... that's my personal opinion. Otherwise it feels pasted on. Oh, and be sure to blend the edges with the background a bit.;)

Jean, what jumped out at me was a too-photographic accuracy of her teeth. I personally feel you should be gentler, more subtle with them.

You're doing wonderfully. What a gift of love here!

thanks Tom, the teeth don't look that stark on my computer image but I agree they do here :) and this is not my Mom but is from a photo posted on the WDE :)

Jean, I think it works here much better. Try to blend the edges by painting border areas into neighboring areas... meaning, avoid smudging. Try to paint... not to smudge. Also, paint the hair at the edges so that it naturally blends into the background. OK... I know what you're thinking.

You're doing great!:)

JEAN JEAN....are you taking lessons on the side somewhere? You are just getting too darn good.........this is wonderful...yep like the second background better...I personally, would like a little more "highlights" in her hair, but other than that.....WOW......keep it up
