Here is the latest and done with the Quiller acrylics, "Ronin" a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel done on canvas board measuring 20 x 16 inches in size. As always I look forward to your opinions.

Your "animal" eyes are always so expressive. Ronin seems an odd shape to me, I am wondering if it is because he doesn't seem grounded. Perhaps he needs a little bit of shading right underneath him? His butt seems to be sitting higher for some reason and I'm wondering if that's it.

Thank you Megan and Connie for your kind comments. I took your advice Megan and added some shadow underneath the dog. Hopefully it looks better now. I appreciate your feedback and thanks!

darn, it replaced your previous picture! In the back section, you have a really dark spot, almost pure black. I think if you lighten that up to match the rest of the shadows you'll be al set. Right now it is the darkest area of the painting and it draws my attention. Good job.

Thanks Carrie and Megan! Megan I am not sure what black spot you are referring to, but I did make some changes if you want to take another look. I was given some more suggestions by another artist.
