View Full Version : WIP of the Girl in white

Joel gave us the link, Smoking painted it beautifully, Marge remarked that she was going to try it also and I thought what the heck me too:lol: so here's my start at white 32 by lockstock

I transfer the red lines to a new blank canvas and then draw on a layer underneath using them as guide lines, I actually drew the image above a dark gray b/g but eliminated that so you could see the drawing better :)

Love your approach to this Jean...as I will be working on the mermaid I think the rest of the month  (she has had alot of replacements she doesn't even know about) I'm not sure when I will get to this one but I love the pose.

Jean, you're off to a good start! More please! Looking forward to this.

Lovely start Jean. Not that it matters, but your face is turned to the front slightly more, and perhaps her left arm could be thicker towards the centre line? (If you look at the space between the arm and the line)

Wow Jean. This is really great! Your start... the way you're blocking in color and tone feels similar to my own. Good, good, good!;)

Jean, that can happen on the home stretch. Sometimes I just want to move on. I like what you've done here. You've definitely captured the angst in her expression and the details in the dress are impressive. Good goin'!:)
