Where's the weekend gone
Rather late entry as stewarding at our exhibition in Sway all day yesterday and then out at an international meal as we've a Food Fair on in Christchurch. But I was determined to ignore the sun today and have a go at this image.:p

I loved the backlit glow through the trees on this image, but found it quite difficult to capture exactly what I wanted in watercolour

Well you succeeded, because it was the first thing I noticed when I looked at your painting: The light! Well done!:)

This is just gorgeous! I love it when people use a lot of colors that I don't readily see at first!

Well I never would attempt that one for that reason - I thought it was soooo hard to capture and here you are capturing more light than the actual photo. Well done and like the original use of colour too it makes it quite a magical painting.

I agree with everyone that you *did* capture that backlight! And I also really like what you've got going on in the bottom right corner, too.

I liked that blue backlit glow too and you've captured it very well. I like your foreground colors, too; I chickened out on this one because of the foreground and I like how you handled it.
