I took a detour and decided to do a part of a painting by Renoir "The Bathers" I thought the lady fit a classical illustration.

Hi The Mermaid, hope you'll come and join us!
Hi Mony G, thank you very much for letting me know my mistake, and I am very sorry. I've asked Barb to correct it for me as soon as she can.
My little dog has been giving me fits. Can you see me having fits, not pretty, he won't let me out of his sight. Arg. He has owned me for fourteen years, you'd think he'd have me trained by now. He is not letting my mind be creative. And if it is not him, it is my other dog, or my lovy dove, or my something-something. Hope your day is better.
Well Barb fixed it while I was away, thanks Barb.
It looks great now Mony!
We will miss you this week. :)

Hey Ladies! Great work for this week! I had a nice little pastel study of Judith Leyster this week, but haven't been able to upload it yet. I'll see if I can at least come across a reference online.
05-22-2006, 09:23 PM
Hi Keith, we miss seeing you around here! Hope you find a way to show us your pastel study of Judith Leyster. Hope things are going good for you!
05-23-2006, 10:26 AM
Oh, I found a link to the reference I used. I am looking for some easy access where I can upload images without too much trouble. Wish me luck
If that don't work (which it isn't for me), try this:
Click images and it is on page 2

Is it this one Keith? The first site didn't work for me.
Went to the next one.
She is pretty and that is a nice web site
05-24-2006, 09:13 AM
That's the one! I did a watercolor on that, not pastel. Sorry about that.
That site is from when the Rau Collection visited Dayton, Ohio. Absolutely beautiful collection of art. There's a book about the collection titled "From Fra Angelico to Bonnard" (I think). You'd think I'd know the title because I pretty much keep it checked out of the local library. :)
05-24-2006, 02:17 PM
That is a really nice website Keith. I enjoyed it!
Looking forward to seeing your watercolor!
