12x9 oil on canvas. Went on a bike ride last weekend & enjoyed painting this. Great weather. Any C&C's welcome.

The foreground strokes make this piece almost look like it was done in pastel.
Good depth too.

I agree, good depth. Your mountain is really good. You've got gradated haze at the bottom to clearer color at the top... that's correct on the Wasatch front :). Nice snow on the mountains!
Small nit: I would recommend using warmer yellows close. Remember warm colors advance, cool colors recede. Looks like you've used a naples yellow on those grasses, which pull them forward, then a very cool lemon for flowers which pushes them back.
A fine job, again showing your continuous improvement.
Really nice treatment of the grasses and whatnot on the hilldside, nice comp too!

My first reaction was, "OMG, I'm so envious that you can go for a bike ride and see this!" What a fabulous spot to paint. Love the bursts of yellow in the foreground.

Thanks so much for all of your kind comments. I agree w/ Brian so I think I will put a little warmer yellow in the foreground. Thanks for the help:)

You created a nice picture with a good depth in it. It would be nice to see a little more of the house. Looks like the old farmhouses here in the black forest.
