View Full Version : Sharing Some Brushes in the Digital Library

FYI, I've placed a small library of custom brushes for Painter IX in the The Digital Library in the "Share your custom brush here" thread.

Brush Descriptions:

concentric x4: A grouping of four concentric circles. A light texture brush that uses the foreground and background colors from the color selector.

grunge03: A hard edged texture and splatter brush. A ligt touch splatters the brush shape. Steady pressure causes the paint to pool with an irregular edge.

slimer: An irregularly shaped "wet" brush. Try mixing and overlapping colors for some interesting results. Note: This brush only works on the canvas, not the layers.

texture02: A gritty / sandy texturing brush. It also reacts to the paper texture.

I just downloaded your brush library and spent some time playing. You really have a feel for doing this and they're so nice.

The liquidy one uses Method: Drip so that's what makes it so juicy and why it won't work on transparent areas of a Layer.

I've been creating some too recently one is two coils one larger than the other. The resulting bruhstrokes are similar (but not the same) as your concentricX4 variant. I love the way you've used that one in your demo to blend colors without smoothing them out. The result is very nice.

Thanks again for your generosity, digi.
