View Full Version : SND revisited as a2-in-1 scratchy

I see I'm not the only one who can't leave those SND pictures alone.
I wanted to find a way to combine the castle with the falcon girl, so I tried another scratchy thing.
I might do it a bit differently if I were to do it over. But it's fun to watch the picture underneath emerge.
I have no idea how long it took to do..lose all sense of time when I'm drawing..my guess is 2 , maybe up to 3 hours.

Thanks to you both!
Caron, the girl and falcon etc. are oil pastel, covered in India ink.
Then I scratched out the castle picture from the ink to disclose the picture underneath.
It's fun. Next time I'm going to try it without such thick coloring-bookish black lines.

I think the black lines are appealing. Gives it a stained glass look. Nice work.

Sundiver, your scratch work is just super. I especially like they way you pattern the scratchings (is that a word?). I haven't seen much of this type of work before and have really enjoyed viewing those you've posted. I think you're are most unique.
