I found this trampled azalea bush and rescued a sprig of it to test the new Sigma 105mm macro lens inside. This is NOT fancy... just the azalea sprig in a small water glass on the kitchen counter with overhead fluorescent lighting and a rainjacket stuffed behind it for background.

I FORGOT THE COMMAND LINE TO WRITE SO I CAN DISPLAY THE PICS HERE WITHOUT USING THE LINK WHEN I WANT TO HAVE THEM ON MY OWN SERVER AND STILL DISPLAY THEM HERE TO AVOID THE 500 WIDE LIMIT. I USED TO DO THAT... SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE COMMAND SO I CAN DISPLAY THEM HERE AS I USED TO DO.

IT'S A PAIN TO HAVE TO USE A LINK AND RETURN FOR EACH PHOTO, I KNOW.

So are we having fun yet? :D
Looks like you and that lens will get along famously Ron ~ a fine piece of kit isn't it?

Yes, Carol, I am happy with the Sigma. Even happier that my salesperson with whom I usually deal, found me a "seldom used" Sigma 105mm for $260 including shipping... about $120 less than a new one. That's about $400 less than the Nikon 105mm MicroNikkor that isn't even the new VR version of that lens which is about $200 more even.

I like them both, Ron. That red is gorgeous.

Sounds like you got a great deal on that lens!
