I rember my first try at a portrait, it was of my g/daughter at about 8 years of age .. well by the time I was finished she looked about 25 and kinda reminded one of a lady of the night :lol: now I'm making everyone younger :)

How many portraits have you done, hundreds? Your good. But a niggle, the hairline as it comes down the side of his face is too hard, there's a lighter part in front of it, but if it was smudges some, much better. And the one hair wide line that comes out the end of his eyebrow, looks like a missed stroke, unless it's really there;-)
