About an hour. Charcoal and a bit of colored pencil on tinted paper.
These events are really fun!

Gee, now why dont you do free hand more offten? Your very good at it. And at adding that slight bit of color that makes it more interesting. I like, i like :)

this is great! i love the coloured pencil, 'specially the patch of green, like the way that you've lifted out on the horses face too.

Good one Coyote! I like the idea of adding subtle colours to your graphite drawing... I know, it's already been said, but it's true! :D

Good choice of paper, and the color with the charcoal is really neat. Like I was saying in chat, I showed this to my hubby and he's a fan of yours now. :)

Andrew, this is 9x12 Strathmore Artagain recycled paper...the pad comes in assorted tints. I've had this pad for a couple of years and never used it before.
